Visit the Paine This Weekend!

Email received:

Dear Paine Members and Friends,

While the snowy weather couldn't be much worse, the floral show at the Paine offers a welcome escape to a tranquil paradise!

I hope you will visit for the final weekend of Rooms of Blooms this Friday through Sunday, March 25-27.

The second annual floral show presents dozens of breathtaking floral arrangments by the regions most talented designers. The show also includes a floral installation in the Breakfast Room and six "over the top" table settings in the Great Hall.

In addition to the floral displays, the show also offers many educational programs by the floral designers and other experts.

This weekend's classes include:

Friday, March 25, 2011
1:00 pm, "Bulbs 101" with Sheila Glaske, Curator of Horticulture, Paine Art Center and Gardens
3:00 pm, "Plant Power: Great Plants for the Region" with Tom Fojtik, Retired Master Gardener
5:00 pm, "Container Art and Design" with Scott Linke & Deb Willis, Stuarts Landscaping & Garden Center

Saturday, March 26, 2011

As well, an engaging activity related to flowers will be offered for children in the Family Discovery Gallery on Saturday from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm; and on Sunday the show will be enhanced with live music from 11:30 am to 3:00 pm.

All programs are free with paid admission (free for members) to the floral show and no pre-registration is required. More information about Rooms of Blooms, including show hours and admission, is below.

Rooms of Blooms features numerous settings bursting with blooms and opportunities to learn about flowers, gardens and more. Get out of the nasty weather, and come inside and immerse yourself in the splendor of the floral wonderland at the Paine!

Sincerely,
