On Tuesday Feb 17 across Wisconsin there will be a primary election in the race for State Superintendent of Public Instruction. There are five candidates seeking this position. The primary will narrow the field down to two. Given that in Oshkosh we also have a primary for common council and Winnebago County Executive, there will likely be a number of people voting in this race from Oshkosh.
Yesterday the five candidates appeared at a forum in Madison, and I found a video of that debate which I will post below. Note: it is one hour long. I hope that doesn't freeze your computer, but in the interest of an informed vote I think it is worth watching.
The five candidates in this non-partisan race are:
- Rose Fernandez
- Todd Price
- Van Mobley
- Lowell E. Holtz
- Tony Evers
